Train

Train with our experienced coaches, Andy Crawfordand James Bowness. Between the two of them they have experience coaching at Everton, Flint, Bolton Ladies first team and a wealth of playing experience. Working with the three coaches you will receive one to one coaching, outstanding coaching sessions, and a chance to develop all areas of your game. As a football scholar you will take part in a football development syllabus that mirrors a professional club giving you the training and expertise to maximize your football potential. Train at our brand new facility with indoor 3G pitches and grass pitches all on one site.

Play

Every Wednesday you will play in the Merseyside County Schools FA League and Cup competitions. Throughout the season our teams will play friendlies with professional academies and take part in academy visits. Our goal is to develop players to their maximise their talents, giving you the opportunity to play in the professional and semi-professional game in the future.

Learn

As a football scholar you’ll be in full time education studying towards one or more qualifications, for a period of one or two years.

Choose from our extensive suite of qualifications;
– NCFE Level 2 Activity Leadership Certificate
– NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport, Exercise and Fitness
– NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym Based Esercise)
– NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Exercise and Physical Activity for Children)
– NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
– Level 2 Fitness Instructing for Children
– Level 3 Diploma in Sport

Your programme of study will include fully funded FA Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses and the opportunity to study GCSE English or Maths*.

Our team of experience and highly qualified teachers have relevant and up to date industry specific qualifications, providing you with the opportunity to study a vocational qualification which will develop your practical knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare you for your chosen career.

Achieve

97% of JM RET students have progressed into their chosen destination*. There are several opportunities including the chance to become a professional or semi-professional footballer, progress to an apprenticeship, continue your studies or even into paid employment. Some vocational qualifications will provide UCAS points for entry into university.
