After School Sports

Our daily After School Activities are for boys and girls aged 5-11. They are run by our highly-qualified coaching staff and are a brilliant mix of coaching and free-play fun!

Groups are split by age and ability to make sure everybody has great fun while keeping active and learning new skills!

Each day will have a different sport, giving children the chance to try a sport they haven’t played before.

Sessions run 4-5pm with an option to drop off from 3:30pm for free play prior to session (excluding Climbing Club which is 4-5pm).

Climbing Club

Football – Develop skills, practice tricks and flicks and play in small-sided games and activities to work on those fancy feet.

Cricket – Get ahead of the PE curriculum by learning cricket now! These sessions are perfect for all abilities to help with learning, understanding and developing cricket skills. Featuring a wide variety of skill-based practises, fun challenges, and kwik cricket (as played in primary schools) with all sessions designed for maximum enjoyment and to keep players smiling throughout.

Mini Martial Arts – Led by a Jiu Jitsu Black-Belt coach, our Mini Martial Arts programme teaches children the basics of a variety of Martial Arts as well as the discipline and control needed to use these skills effectively in a safe and nurturing environment.

Rugby – Our newest After School Club is led by a qualified sports coach and current Rugby player! Our programme teaches children the basics of Rugby, with the aim of keeping them playing in a fun, safe environment & providing a platform to get into Rugby through local clubs.

Dodgeball/Laser Tag – Have an amazing time playing various versions of Dodgeball, with competitions, challenges and more. It is a fast-paced and energetic game which has players ducking, diving and dodging their way around the court to avoid the being hit by the opposing team’s ball!  This After School Club also incorporates Laser Tag – a new sport, where athletes combine fitness the marksmanship skills. It is becoming increasingly popular with a global city tour and World Championship, and is being introduced to the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Come and try it out with qualified shooting coaches, under the guidance of Sarah Kearney, Welsh Coaching Ambassador and two- time Wirral Coach of the Year.

Climbing Club – The weekly, instructed sessions on our Ape Antics Climbing Walls & Aerial Adventures High Ropes course will teach children the fundamentals of climbing through a series of engaging activities and challenges, with some friendly competition too!
